A product is any item or service you sell to serve a customer’s needs or wants. A product is an object or system made available for consumer use; it is anything that can be offered to a market to satisfy the desire or need of a customer.

Let’s take a tour by exploring the setup of Product.

Login to your admin panel and go to Admin> Catalog> Products.

We have to update only five tabs to create a product.

1. General

2. Data

3. links

4. Special

5. Image

let's look first at the General tab page for what fields is required to fill: 

Product Name: Give your product name.

Product Description: Describe the details of your product.

Meta tag Title: Give your product name as a Meta tag title. This title is usually displayed whenever that page appears in search engine.

Second, Let's update the Data tab page for what fields is required to fill:

Model: Give the model name of your product.

Price: Set the price for your product.

Quantity: Enter the available quantity of your product.
Minimum Quantity: The minimum amount of product a customer must reach to add that product to their Shopping Cart.

Subtract stock: If the quantity of shares is to be reduced when the order arrives then "yes", otherwise "no".

Out of Stock: You can give the stock status as In stock, Out of stock, 2-3 days...
Requires Shipping: If the product requires shipping, select "Yes". If not, select "No".

Date Available: The date when this product will become available for purchase.

Weight: Enter a number for the weight.

Weight Class: Specify the units of weight for the number entered into "Weight". 

Status: Change the status "Enabled".
Sort Order: The given number determines the sequences in the ascending order menu.
Eg: 1, the sorting sequence 2,3, and so on.

Third, Let's update the Links tab page for what fields is required to fill.

Categories: To choose your category name for this product.

Note :Able to add single product to many categories

Fourth,  Let's update the Special tab page for what fields is required to fill.

Priority: You can give the priority of your customers (Eg: Only for the first purchase of 20 or 30 or...customers).
Price:  Enter the special price amount.

Date start: You can give the special price starting date.
Date End: you can give the special price ending date.

Note this special price only can visible on particular give if you given start and end date other wise it will visible alwa

Fifth Let's update the Image tab page for what fields is required to fill.

Image: Click the browser to Upload your product images as your preferred size.
Additional images: Click the (+) button to add additional images. Click the (-) button to remove the additional image

Finally, check that all the mandatory (*) are filled and pressing the 'Save' button in the upper right corner will save the information.

Congrats!!!Now that your Product is ready, you can start selling this product.
